This past summer Gord Downie and the Tragically Hip travelled the country for their Man, Machine, Poem Tour raising $1 million for brain cancer research. He recently announced the release of a graphic novel, an animated film and a solo album called The Secret Path, about an Indigenous 12-year-old boy named Chanie Wenjack who died fifty years ago while trying to run away from the Cecilia Jeffrey Indian Residential School near Kenora, Ontario. Gord Downie will perform live at Roy Thomson Hall on October 21st and a show at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa on October 18th.
Tickets to the Toronto show go on sale on Friday, September 23a and the pre-sale begins on Thursday. All proceeds will be donated to reconciliation SecretPath.ca
